Most web projects do not fail because of technology but because of process. These are the mistakes we see most often, and how to avoid them.
- No clear specification. "We want a modern site" is not a spec. Define goals, audience, pages, features and what success means.
- Skipping UX and design. Going straight to development without a prototype leads to expensive changes later.
- Ignoring speed and scalability. A slow site loses visitors and rankings. Plan for speed from the start.
- Weak communication. Without regular meetings and one accountable person on each side, misunderstandings pile up.
- Testing at the end. Testing must follow development. Early bugs are cheap; post-launch bugs are expensive.
- Security as an afterthought. Updates, strong passwords, backups and form protection must be part of the plan.
- No maintenance plan. A site is not finished on launch day. Without maintenance it ages, slows down and becomes vulnerable.
- Design and development not talking. Joint work from the start fixes this.
- No market or user analysis. A site built to the director's taste rather than customer needs rarely delivers.
- Nobody owns the result. A project needs an owner on both sides, with authority to decide.
How we work
Every project starts with a workshop and site structure, design before development, testing throughout and maintenance after launch. See website development, check the cost calculator or send an inquiry.
Frequently asked questions
